REPLY TO : Indian Court to Facebook, Google: Censor Content or We Will Censor You

" The Delhi High Court has ordered Facebook India and Google India to find a way to remove objectionable content or the sites will face a blackout.
Justice Suresh Kait warned that if the Internet giants cannot monitor their content, India will follow China’s censorship lead.
“Like China, we will block all such websites,” Kait said Thursday, The Times of India reports."

Respected, honorable leaders and rulers, worthy of improving the system by threatening a BLACK OUT, what ALL would you censor. How about contents that are a real disgrace Indian Parliament Session in progress.It is shameful and a cause of embarrassment, for every INDIAN, as to how the leaders represent their cause! Examples have been seen of  holding footwear in their hands, use of abusive words, physical violence. IS this the way world's largest democracy resolves its concerns !

And now, how would this decision be considered as a well thought out decision before letting the world know of  the way, how decisions and actions are taken by world's largest democracy.

'INCREDIBLE INDIA' . Not awesome or wonderful. Incredible means, hard to believe.
Hard to believe WHAT ? The advancement in technology, the education, the progress this country is making! India is being eyed by the world as progressive and technologically competent country and not as a country who instead of finding solutions to issues, goes for giving such extreme statements as 'complete blackout of Facebook and Google'.

Do such verdicts enhance the image of Incredible India ? While India goes mainstream, contributing to the global economy, such statements are a cause of concern. Do you think India could really progress to compete with the developed nations with such an attitude ?

Why defects are called as BUGS ?

Why , Why , Why the name BUGS ?
Why are defects, fault, error, mistake, failure called as BUGS in Computer Programming.

Read below Bugs as the usual bugs and BUGS as defects in the software.
 

1) Bugs in literal sense, are a menace , usually a cause of destruction. 

Successful sites have been known to be brought down because of BUGS

 

2) Bugs are found even in the most hygienic and clean place. 

No programming code, however clean can ever say that  there is ZERO defect and BUG free

3) Bugs grow exponentially.

Programmers pull their hair,when squashing one BUG three MORE are produced.

 

4) Everybody goes frenzy seeing bugs with ewwws and ishhhhhh. 

You should see the look on the developers face when notified of BUGS

Oh BOY ! Even if the developer thinks of going on a vacation and he is sent a list of BUGS

5) Bugs always resurface even when complete care is taken to eradicate them.

Bad codes without correction keep slipping in new releases producing the same BUGS.

6) Nobody wants to even look at a bug infested area. Software with BUGS, does not sell either.

7) There are a variety of bugs. Harmful and not harmful. 

To categorize the harmful effect of BUGS, they are categorized to Low priority/High Priority

8) life of bug : There is always one left  which you can never catch !!

Defects, issues, errors never end SO,
BUGS and Developers have learnt to live happily ever after !

RoE-A-Thons.. the flirting begins !

And my first post of the Year 2012 !

What a way to begin the year, flirting with RoE. Oh, yea... this is what i feel about the tournament, fast moving  realms.Let me first explain, the dynamics of the game, Realm Of Empires, a popular game on facebook.

You start with a small village which you grow into a mighty fortress as you struggle for dominance of the realm playing with, and against real people. It’s a game of diplomacy, strategy and war.
The game is intended to be played as little as just a few minutes per day, over many days, weeks and months as you make friends in a medieval world.This game is an attempt to simulate the decisions and processes inherent to some real-world situation. Most of the mechanics are chosen to reflect what the real-world consequences would be of each player's actions and decisions. Players will have to consider situations that are analogous to the situations faced by leaders of historical battles. As such, war games are usually heavy on simulation elements, and while they are all "strategy games", they can also be "strategic" or "tactical" in the military jargon sense.
It is a game which provides not only fun but is also challenging and provides a creative outlet. It offers a myriad of ways to improve literacy and basic mathematics skills. It's learning through play. Fighting is just one aspect to the game. There are also skills such as Diplomacy or Move Silently that give characters non-combat options.


There are 20 realms running successfully. The usual realms are so created that anyone with a job, school, regular life can play it during their free time.However, players who have been in the game for 3 years and more, wanted a faster version of the same game. They wanted to try their skills and efficiency , settle scores, prove themselves in a realm where results could be seen immediately.

The usual stats  of regular realms :
Unit movement speed: 1x
Building upgrade speed: 1.5x - 2.5x
Unit recruit speed: 1.5x to 2.5x
Silver production speed: 1.5x to 3x


The stats of faster realms:
Unit movement speed: 10x
Building upgrade speed: 120x
Unit recruit speed: 120x
Silver production speed: 120x

To begin the era of RoE-A-Thons, there were three, 6 hour tournament realms during the holiday season 2011-2012.All three realms were a huge success. People across the globe spent their NEW YEAR with friends, playing at Realm Of Empires ! All these players, have huge empires in the existing realms but to get an extra adrenalin rush, show off their passion and aggression they play the fast and furious - tournament realms. And that is why, i say - It's like flirting with RoE ! Once this realm is over, i have heard many say - "Glad its over but it was fun till it lasted. Let's get back to our regular realms now ". And within a few days, they are again asking for another tournament realm. Ha, Ha.. never get tired of flirting, I guess !!
